The Property Ombudsman Sales and Lettings
As a member of The Property Ombudsman, we follow the code of practice for residential sales which has been approved by the OFT under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. We are also members for lettings related matters and can resolve disputes referred by landlords or tenants fairly via the Ombudsman. All members of staff are made familiar with the relevant codes of practice and we have a comprehensive internal complaints procedure.
Tenancy Deposit Scheme
Since April 2007 we have registered all deposits held in respect of Assured Shorthold tenancies with The Tenant Deposit Scheme. As members of The Dispute Service (one of the three scheme operators) our commitment increased in October 2010 in line with legislative changes, when the Assured Shorthold Tenancy threshold rose.
Marshalls has a Money Laundering Officer, details of whom will be given upon request.
Property Misdescriptions Act (PMA)
All sales staff are regularly trained in all aspects of the PMA. Our properties are advertised in line with the PMA.
